The First Year, Day by Day
Part Four: Months 6 to 9
These months bring big changes: solid food, sitting on their own, and for many babies crawling and pulling up to stand. Your baby now knows clearly who their people are, which can bring stranger and separation anxiety. Safety takes centre stage as your baby starts to move. Your baby grows from about 67 cm (26 in) and 7.6 kg (16 lb 12 oz) to roughly 71 cm (28 in) and 8.5 kg (18 lb 12 oz).
