Your baby is waking up to the world. In these months most babies laugh out loud, grab everything within reach, roll over and babble. Sleep may change shape, many parents return to work, and toward the end you will get ready for first foods. Your baby grows from about 61 cm (24 in) and 6.2 kg (13 lb 10 oz) to roughly 66 cm (26 in) and 7.5 kg (16 lb 9 oz), and by the end has about doubled their birth weight.
